Steven and Beth are expecting a baby girl this fall!! 💗🌸💗 In their own words, they “took an indirect route to get here, but we really can’t wait to welcome this baby into our lives.” Beth has been so strong and brave, and Steven has been her stalwart support. Chuck and I are going to be grandparents—we can’t wait to love on this baby!!! 🥳

I got number six!!! 😊 The oldest, Megan, profoundly physically and intellectually challenged, was 14 in the picture. Devon, the youngest, was 5. I was 7.
I needed an entire week to process last weekend’ I needed an entire week to process last weekend’s fabulous surprise birthday party that you will see in the video shocked me no end. I saw family and friends in front of me who should have been states away—a collection of my favorite people. Each face was a shock to me. It was a particularly big shock because I had already been surprised by Margaret’s showing up from New York in my office at home. That was a massive treat in itself!! We were just going to Muse for a cozy birthday dinner! So to walk in and have that surprise extended to include so many more people?? I’ve never felt so feted and honored in my life (since my wedding to Chuck), and after a delicious meal at Muse, one of my favorite places in Charleston, I went home and saw a video with best wishes from loved ones who couldn’t be there. I felt so thankful for all the love and support in my life. I kept it close, savoring the memory, but now I want to share because who doesn’t love seeing someone be surprised!!! Have YOU ever been surprised?!? How did you react?? I wish I had pictures of everyone who was there. I also loved all the decorations, including carefully selected photos, and the fun treat bags. So many people worked so hard to pull this off! Margaret, Chuck, Beth, and Devon, I love you and thank you!!! And thanks to everyone who came, including Chrissy, who got a flat tire on her way home to Georgia!!! 🌸🥰🎂🎉🥂
